Good morning fellow comrades in the struggle! Good morning gentlemen of the press!
We call to address you this morning sequel to our penultimate planned actions billed to commence tomorrow.

Recall that exactly 21 days ago, Niger Delta Activists Forum (NDAF) issued 3-weeks ultimatum to the Federal Government through the Ministry of Works under the superintendence of His Excellency Babatunde Raji Fashola with three cardinal demands as paraphrased vis-à-vis below:

  1. That the Honorable Minister of Works should as a matter of exigency and necessity allocate the next tranche of cash inflow to address the road under consideration;
  2. That the Honorable Minister should address us and the entire Niger Delta people on the genuineness of Federal Government’s commitment in fixing the Odukpani–Itu–Ikot Ekpene road and;
  3. That failure to comply with the demands above within the stipulated time frame would be reciprocated with civil actions under the precinct of the law.

Arising from our internal meetings yesterday, we unanimously agreed that the mass actions billed to start tomorrow 13th August 2020 at Odukpani–Itu–Calabar road is hereby postponed by 7- days,this is to accommodate the ever increasing members of the public as well as other notable groups in the state and region who want to be part of the peaceful protest.

The new date for the mass action is now Thursday 20th -27th August 2020 at Odukpan/ITU Road.we sincerely regret the inconveniences this shift of date may have caused you.
